Helicopter and drones search for missing man
Police ScotlandA police helicopter and drones have been scouring the south of Scotland countryside to try to trace a missing man.
Adrian Knott - known as Ade - was last seen at about 23:00 on Sunday in Gatehouse of Fleet.
He has been described as about 6ft tall, with a grey beard and a bald head. He wears black framed glasses, has a nose ring and tattoos on both hands.
Police said his vehicle had been traced at Knocktinkle but "extensive searches" had so far failed to find him.
Mr Knott was likely to be wearing a camouflage waterproof jacket and a brown fleece.
Insp Kelly Douglas said: "As time passes concerns are growing for Adrian.
"Our inquiries are ongoing with searches continuing over the weekend.
"I would appeal to anyone who has seen Adrian or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.
"I would ask anyone who has been in the area to think back, do you remember seeing someone matching his description? Any information could prove vital."
