A GP has pleaded guilty to making false prescriptions.

Dr Henry Jerzy Juchniewicz, 60, from Jersey, had been employed at Cleveland Clinic, St Helier, for 21 years.

He admitted three charges of making false prescriptions at an initial appearance at the island's magistrate's court. The offences had taken place over a five-year period, the prosecution said.

Juchniewicz was released on bail following the hearing and told to reappear for sentencing at Jersey's Royal Court on 22 May.
