Man badly hurt in rush hour train station stabbing

A man has been arrested after the stabbing earlier on Tuesday

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with "injuries thought to be life-changing" following a stabbing at a train station, police have said.

Officers and paramedics were called to Bognor Regis railway station in West Sussex at about 08:30 GMT, British Transport Police (BTP) said.

Det Insp Brendan Jones said a suspect, also in his 20s was arrested at the scene.

He added: "While we believe this to be an isolated incident, enquiries are ongoing."

Anyone who witnessed the attack has been urged to contact BTP.
