A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found at a property.

Thames Valley Police was called to Nathaniel Close in Shenley Church End, Milton Keynes, at about 18:50 (GMT) on Friday

A 33-year-old woman, who has not been named, was found dead and police have arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

Det Insp Laura Herrington said: "We are in the early stages of a complex investigation but we are following a number of lines of enquiry to establish, in full, the circumstances around the death."

She added there would be an increased police presence in the area while investigations take place, but there was no threat to the wider public.

The arrested man, of no fixed abode, remained in police custody on Monday.
