Police were called to the Burnham Park area of Slough

Police are appealing for information after a woman was raped in Slough.

Thames Valley Police said it received a report a woman had been sexually assaulted some time between 23:45 BST on Sunday and 00:30 on Monday, in the Burnham Park area of the Berkshire town.

Supt Clare Knibbs said no arrests had been made but the force was following "a number of enquiries".

She added: "The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and we are working with [her] to gather further information."

The force said additional reassurance patrols in the Burnham Park area would be taking place.

Anyone who was in the park or has further information has been urged to come forward.
