People interested in a career in engineering, construction or business are being offered the opportunity to meet prospective employers.

Hull Training and Adult Education (HTAE) is hosting the free event on 12 February.

It is being held during National Apprenticeship Week, and will give attendees the opportunity to chat with local employers and discuss opportunities, organisers said.

The event will involve some of the region's employers, including Swift Group, along with several construction firms.

Councillor Linda Tock, portfolio holder for training and adult education at the city council, said it was a fantastic way for people to discover more on career paths that may interest them.

"They are also beneficial to businesses as it gives them the opportunity to showcase what they do best," she added.

The event is being held at HTAE's construction site on Nursery Grove between 16:30 and 18:30 GMT.

National Apprenticeship Week runs from 9 -15 February.
