Teenage boy seriously injured in hit-and-run

The crash occurred on Trysull Road in Wolverhampton

A 15-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at about 16:10 GMT on Tuesday to Trysull Road in Wolverhampton.

After being treated for serious injuries there, the teenager was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital and remains there.

West Midlands Police said the driver of the vehicle did not remain at the scene and inquiries were ongoing to identify them.
