CCTV appeal after alleged racist remarks made

A CCTV appeal has been launched after racist remarks were allegedly made against a bar worker.

Gloucestershire Constabulary is investigating the incident, which took place on Castle Street in Cirencester in the early hours of November 29.

"Officers have conducted a number of enquiries since the incident, but are yet to identify the man pictured and are now asking for information from the public," the force said in a statement.

"We appreciate that the image isn't the clearest however it is hoped that someone may know who the man is."

It was reported that a man had made racist remarks towards a member of staff at a bar before following him on foot through the town centre.

The incident took place during the early hours of Saturday 29 November, police added.

Anyone with information is encouraged to complete an online form on the police force's website.
