A 23-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after another man was stabbed.

Kyle Cox, of Harebell Road, Oxford, was also charged with possessing a bladed article in a public place and a public order offence.

Thames Valley Police said it related to an incident on Thursday in Northfield Close, near the junction with Alice Smith Square, in Littlemore.

The victim, who was in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital, the force said.

Mr Cox was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on 9 January.

The force said a 21-year-old woman from Oxford, who was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, had been released on bail.
