Man faces manslaughter charge after pub incident

A man has been charged with the manslaughter of a 63-year-old man following an incident in a pub.

Christopher Iredale, 36, will appear in court after the incident involving another man known to him at The Heath Tavern in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, at 22:50 GMT on Monday.

The victim later died in hospital after being taken from the pub in Sussex Road in a serious condition. His next of kin have been informed.

Mr Iredale, of Sussex Road, will appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court later, Sussex Police said.

A spokesperson for the force said detectives are still investigating and are appealing for witnesses.
