Jack Coulson will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court

A man has been charged with two terrorism offences following an investigation by counter terror police.

Jack Coulson, 26, was arrested in July last year as part of an intelligence-led operation by Counter Terrorism Policing North East. He was released under investigation and recalled to prison the next day.

Coulson, formerly of Mexborough, South Yorkshire, but currently of HMP Leeds, has been charged with two counts of possession of a document likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

He is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday.
