Appeal after man seriously injured in dog attack
GooglePolice are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 60s was attacked and seriously injured by a dog in Mexborough.
The victim was bitten on his arm by a large dog in an alleyway off Plumpton Avenue just before midday on 6 May. The dog was described as being stocky and sandy in colour, and was not with its owner at the time.
South Yorkshire Police said the man needed plastic surgery. Officers had also been unable to identify the dog or its owner.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the force.
