Second man arrested after shooting in Bexleyheath

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a shooting in south-east London in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Metropolitan Police said it was called to Bexleyheath Broadway at 02:15 GMT on 4 January following reports of a shooting.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) treated a 30-year-old man for a gunshot wound before taking him to hospital.

A 35-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at the scene and also taken to hospital has been released on bail, the Met said.

On Monday, the force confirmed the man who was shot was in a stable condition in hospital.
