Man injured in Bexleyheath shooting

A 30-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he was shot in south-east London.

Police were called to reports of the shooting in Bexleyheath Broadway at 02:15 GMT.

The victim was treated for a gunshot wound at the scene by an ambulance crew before being taken to hospital. The Metropolitan Police said it awaited an update on his condition.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at the scene, the force said. He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries.
