Fans' memorabilia forms Blues' history exhibition
BBCA football used to score the quickest hat-trick in Carlisle United's history is among memorabilia to feature in a new club exhibition.
The ball, used by Blues' legend Billy Rafferty in 1976 to net three goals in six minutes against Cardiff City at Brunton Park, will be displayed at Tullie museum in July.
Items which make up the display, celebrating 120 years since the club was formed, have been donated by lifelong supporters following a public appeal.
"Everything just lines up perfectly," said club supporter liaison officer Simon Clarkson.
He added the appeal had "really touched a nerve" among fans.
Among the donations include a "huge" single collection which spanned more than 80 years, with programmes, match passes, team sheets and newspapers.
While the club has suffered a disappointing season on the field, Mr Clarkson said it had plenty to celebrate this summer.
As well as its 120 year anniversary, it has been almost 50 years since Carlisle United briefly climbed to the top of the old Football League First Division.
The exhibition will also highlight the role of the club in the community, and feature old photographs, programmes and shirts.
