Fire that killed teen not suspicious, police say
PA MediaA fire in Kent that killed a 13-year-old girl is not being treated as suspicious, police say.
The blaze in White Admiral Way, Hamstreet, near Ashford, started just after midday on Sunday and at its height six fire crews worked to extinguish the flames, which had spread throughout the semi-detached property.
Kent Police said a report would be prepared for the coroner.
The force added that although the circumstances behind the fire were not being treated as suspicious, an investigation into the cause was ongoing.
Charlie Rose/BBCA second child and an adult were also taken to hospital as a result of the fire.
Three firefighters also sustained minor injuries.
Teams had been working on Monday to make the property structurally safe.
