Man stabbed in abdomen in theatre car park

A man suffered a serious injury to his abdomen in a stabbing in a theatre's car park, police said.

Thames Valley Police said officers were responding to reports of an incident at the Swan Car Park in the centre of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

The force said it was a "fast-paced investigation" and it was supporting the victim, who was taken to hospital.

It added there would be a large police presence in the town centre - to provide reassurance and gather evidence.

The Swan Car Park is used by people going to the Wycombe Swan theatre.

The nearby Eden Shopping Centre was still open, the force said.
