Brittany Ferries says Guernsey bookings up 33%

Bookings for ferry services to and from Guernsey are up by a third year-on-year, figures have shown.

Brittany Ferries said as of late January, a total of 60,880 passengers had made a reservation for one of its sailings between the UK and Guernsey, and France and Guernsey, up to 31 October.

The company said this was 33% higher than the same point in 2025 when a total of 45,713 bookings had been made.

The ferry firm said its figures showed "consistent and positive momentum" had built since its contract with the States of Guernsey began in April.

The company said overall bookings for 2025 had increased compared to 2024.

Brittany Ferries added figures for December showed its overall market share of sea travel to the Channel Islands from France and the UK had reached 48%.

Christophe Mathieu, chief executive of Brittany Ferries, said: "I am delighted that the strong growth we achieved in our first year of operations is continuing into our second season.

"These excellent forward-booking figures reflect the effectiveness of our extensive marketing activity in both the UK and France during the quieter months and represent positive news for the tourism industry in the Bailiwick.

"They also demonstrate the growing appeal of Guernsey as a destination and the confidence passengers have in our services as we look ahead to 2026."
