A Warwickshire Police officer has appeared in court after being charged with three counts of theft while on duty.

PC Robert Davies is alleged to have stolen cash, jewellery and a drill from the property, after a drugs raid, Birmingham Magistrates' Court was told.

PC Davies, 48, declined to enter a plea to three counts of theft, connected to his duties, at the hearing earlier.

The officer, from Alcester, is accused of two counts of theft involving cash, jewellery and a power tool, after the raid at an address in Redditch, Worcestershire, in November 2023. The third charge alleges PC Davies stole cash, in February this year.

The third charge alleges he stole £180 in cash "belonging to The Crown", in Alcester.
