Drug warning issued as people fall ill at festival
GoogleA drug warning has been issued after some festival-goers "suffered significant harm" at the weekend.
North Northamptonshire Council said "a small number of people" were affected and the illness was "potentially linked to illicit drug use".
It has urged anyone who used drugs while attending the Illusive Festival, near Corby, at the weekend to seek help swiftly if they become unwell.
The organisers of the drum, bass and dance festival have been approached for comment.
The council posted the warning on social media at 23:10 BST on Sunday.
It said: "A small number of people attending the Illusive Festival suffered significant harm potentially linked to illicit drug use.
"Anyone that used drugs this weekend should seek help swiftly if they become unwell and call 999 for urgent medical help."
