Child involved in road collision in Ipswich

A road in Ipswich has been closed after a collision involving a child, Suffolk Police has confirmed.

Ranelagh Road has been shut from the junction at Ancaster Road down to London Road.

Drivers heading out of town had to turn around near Ipswich railway station to avoid the road closure.

Traffic was still able to turn left into the Chantry estate.
