A man and a dog have died after a fire at a property in Fife.

Emergency services were called to reports of a blaze at Brodie Court in Glenrothes at around 01:30 on Wednesday.

Police confirmed a man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a dog also died as a result of the fire.

A joint investigation between the fire service and police is ongoing.
