A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in Shropshire.

West Midlands Ambulance service said it was called to the A454 near Bridgnorth at 12:32 GMT on Sunday, where they found the man in a critical condition.

Despite efforts to save him, he was confirmed dead at the scene, the service said.

West Mercia Police said it appeared the 47-year-old had struck the kerb and then a road sign between Swancote and Stanmore.
