Football club mural contest offers cash prize
Alice Cunningham/BBCA £2,000 cash prize is being offered as part of a competition to design a mural for Ipswich Town's football stadium.
The club, together with local tourism group All About Ipswich, is inviting people to design a large mural that will be placed outside Portman Road stadium.
A spokesperson said it wanted a "bold, creative design that celebrates the spirit of Ipswich and/or Ipswich Town FC".
The final design will cover approximately 170 square metres and will be installed by the start of the 2026-27 football season.
Richard Haugh/BBCThe club said the mural would be placed on wooden hoardings at the Portman Road car park and would transform "a key town centre site into a vibrant and proud display of civic and club identity".
People are encouraged to submit the design as a 2D image in a PDF or JPEG format with a 200-word description outlining the inspiration and how the design fits the brief.
Submissions must be in by 17:00 GMT on 15 February and all designs will be reviewed before being shortlisted by a panel.
The final shortlist will be put to a vote by Town club members and season ticket holders.
The winning entrant will receive the £2,000 reward.
The club said: "The final design will be professionally printed on to Dibond panels (not sprayed directly on to the wood) and installed on the hoardings by an All About Ipswich team."
