Man badly hurt 'falling from height' at airport

A man has been seriously hurt after reports he fell from the back of a plane at Manchester Airport.

The man, believed to be an aircraft engineer, was taken to hospital after falling from a Jet2 plane, at about 08:20 BST on Saturday.

A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson said they were called to reports someone had "fallen from a height".

A Jet2 spokesperson said an investigation was taking place which involved "an individual from a third-party provider" and they were doing their best to "provide support to everyone who needs it". Manchester Airport has been approached for comment.
