A former police officer has denied two counts of engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour.

Daniel Boulter, 49, pleaded not guilty at a hearing at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

The alleged offences took place between 2016 and 2018, while he was a serving officer with Lincolnshire Police. He left the force in 2019.

Mr Boulter, of Loxley, Sheffield, was granted bail and will appear before Leicester Crown Court on 2 February.
