Homes evacuated as large fire engulfs buildings
Steve GouldA large fire in Skegness has seen 25 homes and businesses evacuated.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said multiple crews had been tackling the blaze at its height, which was affecting three properties on Old Wainfleet Road and had started at about 12:45 GMT.
Lincolnshire Police said there had been no reported injuries, but Old Wainfleet Road to Church Road south of the A52, Queens Road and Cross Street had all been closed.
Residents had also being warned to close their windows and doors to prevent smoke from entering their properties.
Steve GouldLincolnshire Fire and Rescue said six appliances, an aerial ladder platform and a water carrier had been in attendance initially and had described it as a "large-scale incident".
However, at 17:08, the service said the incident had been scaled down and that crews had the situation "under control".
