A12 reopens after long closure following collision

The A12 in Essex has reopened after it was closed for several hoursfollowing a serious collision.

Essex Police said the crash, involving two cars, took place at about 23:30 BST on Wednesday.

The northbound carriageway between junctions 15 for Margaretting and junction 16 for Chelmsford was closed until about 09:00 on Thursday.

National Highways said police investigation work was complete, along with the recovery and clean-up operations.
