Murder arrest as man dies after 'targeted attack'
West Yorkshire PoliceA man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man died in hospital following what police have described as a "targeted attack".
Suhail Choudry, 35, was found with serious head injuries in Flasby Street, Keighley, on Sunday, and died from his injuries three days later.
West Yorkshire Police said a 27-year-old man, who was initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, had been rearrested on suspicion of murder in connections with his death.
A 30-year-old man also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder earlier this week and a 33-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been released on bail, the force said.
Officers said they believed Choudry was assaulted in a "targeted attack".
West Yorkshire PoliceDet Ch Insp Matt Holdsworth, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: "Several scenes remain in place in Keighley today as our investigation into what took place continues, with local officers continuing to provide reassurance through increased patrols.
"We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this serious violence on the streets on Keighley or have any information in relation to the wider circumstances to come forward.
"I am aware that some people may be reluctant to provide information directly to us, so we have created an online portal link where people can use to provide information."
