Woman critically injured by e-bike rider

A woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by an e-bike rider, police have said.

The victim, aged in her 60s, was knocked down in Caversham Road, Reading, at about 20:50 GMT on Wednesday.

The rider, who was carrying a Deliveroo bag, failed to stop at the scene, officers added.

Police have appealed for witnesses or dashcam footage of the rider or the pedestrian, who was walking with a red trolley bag near Great Knollys Street.

Deliveroo has been approached for comment.
