Man, 44, arrested for murder after woman's death
GoogleA 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a woman.
Thames Valley Police said its officers were called to Phyllis Court Drive in Henley-on-Thames at about 07:50 GMT on Friday following the death of a woman.
The force said it had arrested a man from the south Oxfordshire town on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident, and that he remained in custody.
A crime scene remained in place and there would be an increased police presence in the area during the investigation, police said.
The victim was yet to have been formally identified and there was no risk to the wider community, the force added.
Det Insp Rob Underhill explained: "The investigation is still in its early stages; however, an arrest has been made, and we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident."
"Members of the public are likely to see an increased police presence while we continue to investigate, and we would advise anyone with any concerns to please speak to one of our uniformed officers," he added.
