Man charged with nine rapes of women he met online
BBCA man has been charged with multiple sexual offences relating to two women he met online.
Thames Valley Police said Andrew Dent, 54, of Desborough Road in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, had met with the women on separate occasions in 2024 - one in a West Berkshire hotel on the evening of 19 June and the other at an address in Henley-on-Thames on the evening of 26 October.
He has been charged with nine counts of rape, five counts of sexual assault by penetration, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of voyeurism on Tuesday.
Dent was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday.
The police said he first got in contact with the alleged victims on a dating website or application.
A woman in her 30s, from South Wales, says she was attacked and had intimate photographs of her taken without her consent, while the other woman is in her 50s and from London.
