Woman who died in West Lothian crash named by police

An 87-year-old woman who died in a two-car crash which left three others seriously injured in West Lothian earlier this month has been named by police.

Isabella Cordner, known as Isa, was a passenger in a silver Volkswagen T-Roc involved in a collision with a red Honda Civic on the A706 near Carriber Mill on Friday 5 December.

The 64-year-old male driver of the Volkswagen and another woman, aged 63, were taken to hospital as well as the 21-year-old driver of the other car.

Police are still appealing for witnesses including the driver of a Range Rover that was in the area at the time.

The crash happened at about 18:55 and officers closed the road for about eight hours while an initial investigation was carried out.

Sgt Barry Sommerville said: "Our investigation into the crash is ongoing and I'd again appeal to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and who has not yet spoken to officers to get in touch.
