Filming shuts stately home for some of Easter
BBCAn Elizabethan mansion is being closed to the public for some of the Easter holidays due to it being used as a filming location.
Burghley House, on the Cambridgeshire-Lincolnshire border, said on social media the main house and orangery, courtyard shop and south gardens would be shut from Tuesday until Saturday.
However, its playground, cafe and parkland are expected to stay open.
What is being filmed has not been revealed, but a spokesperson said "income generated from filming projects like this helps support the ongoing preservation of the house".
The site was recently used for scenes in Netflix's Frankenstein. Staff told the BBC they hoped the movie would introduce a new generation to the historic home.
