A fire in a flat above a bakery in Leicester has been confirmed as accidental.

Crews were called to the Tiny Bakery in Clarendon Park Road on Wednesday morning after smoke was seen coming from the roof of the end-of-terrace property.

The fire was extinguished by about 09:45 GMT and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service later confirmed it was due to an overheated extractor fan.

No-one was hurt, and the business remained open and provided the fire crews with refreshments.
