A by-election is set to be held in June to fill four empty seats on a local authority in the north of the Isle of Man.

Nominations have opened for a single vacancy on Ramsey Commissioners' north ward and a further three on its south ward.

One seat became vacant following the death of long-standing member Wilf Young in April following an illness.

The others came up after both Stella Moss and Alby Oldham stepped down for personal reasons, and the removal of Reverend Canon David Greenwood from the board after he failed to attend enough meetings to remain a member.

Nominations close on 27 May, with the election itself taking place on 25 June.
