Two men have been arrested and bailed following reports of hare coursing.

Cambridgeshire Police said it received several reports of hare coursing around Floods Ferry near March on Tuesday.

Its rural crime action team pursued two vehicles including one heading towards March town centre and another towards HMP Whitemoor.

The force said the occupants abandoned their vehicles, and with the help of drones and officers on the ground, the pair were located.

A 52-year-old man was arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop and driving without insurance. A 22-year-old man was arrested for failing to comply with a community protection notice.

Both men have been bailed and are due to appear in court in the new year, police said.

The force says its rural crime action team "remains committed" to tackling hare coursing across the county.
