Guernsey campaign aims for year-round tourism
BBCVisit Guernsey plans to make the island a "year-round" destination with its new marketing campaign.
The company said it wanted to attract affluent travellers by increasing its consumer and lifestyle appeal through a content-led approach with influencer collaborations.
A recent report found there was a 55% increase in general day-trippers visiting the island compared with the previous year - from 13,968 to 21,592 visitors.
Visit Guernsey said it would be targeting people aged 35+, solo travellers, families and couples with its new campaigns which would focus on wellness and outdoor experiences, food festivals and eateries, sports and history.
Focusing on locations, Visit Guernsey said it would "deepen the French connection" by expanding its marketing in Paris, Normandy and Brittany and targeting its key UK departure points of London, Birmingham, Bristol and the South West.
The company said there had been a decline in visitors from Jersey "primarily a result of connectivity issues" and that it would begin a "reconnection strategy" working with travel partners to "to re-establish and promote reliable inter-island services".
