A man has been jailed after he was caught driving three times in six months despite being disqualified.

South Yorkshire Police said Bradley Robinson, 28, from Barnsley, was found behind the wheel by officers in April, August and in September.

Robinson, from Cudworth, either failed to stop for officers, denied he was the driver or attempted to flee during the three occasions, the force said.

At Barnsley Magistrates' Court, he admitted two counts of driving while disqualified, failing to stop when required, and two counts of using a motor vehicle without insurance.

At a hearing on Monday, Robinson, of White Cross Road, was jailed for 34 weeks, disqualified from driving for 22 months, and ordered to pay £154 in court costs.
