New mural designs have been unveiled in Brixham

A set of murals have been unveiled as part of a beautification project in a Devon seaside town.

Brixham Future, a not for profit organisation, said three of six planned designs featuring extracts of poetry and literature have been completed.

One was painted on a wall on New Road, another on the junction of Bolton Street and Rea Barn Road, and another at Rio's Fish and Chips on Pump Street.

Project co-ordinator Sasha Rakonersky said heavy rainfall earlier this year forced the project to be delayed.

Work on a fourth mural above the Hans Gift Shop has started while a fifth design is due to be painted on Union Lane in July, Brixham Futures added.
