A new temporary post office is open after earlier confusion over its location.

The Post Office announced last month it was going to open a new drop and collect service in Leiston, Suffolk, at LB Shotter & Sons' petrol station after the previous branch shut down when Coopers hardware store ceased trading.

However, it later emerged that while the petrol station had been approached, it had declined the offer to host the service.

On Monday, a temporary in-store post office opened within the East of England Co-op on Sizewell Road.
