Nursery and more synagogues 'smeared with faeces'
@shomrimlondonMore synagogues and a children's nursery in Golders Green, north London, have been targeted in alleged antisemitic attacks, police have said.
Community security volunteers, Shomrim and The Jewish News both said these locations had been targeted with faeces.
It's thought the latest incident brings the number of similar attacks to seven, all within the last fortnight.
The Metropolitan Police force has said "the same suspect is likely responsible for all seven offences" and its officers are trying to identify the culprit.
@shomrimlondonPolice said they had been made aware of "religiously-motivated criminal damage" at five separate synagogues, including the door to a synagogue nursery, a local passageway used by worshippers and a school.
None of the premises have been named publicly.
A Shomrim spokesperson said: "These repeated attacks have left our community anxious, hurt, and increasingly worried."
The organisation said it was working with police to investigate and to reassure the local community.
It had also handed in these CCTV images to help Met police officers working on the case.
Det Supt Katie Harber said: "These are revolting and appalling acts and we are urging the public to help us identify the perpetrator.
"We are very aware of how distressing these offences have been for those who have been targeted. We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour."
