Murder arrest after death of 91-year-old woman
Family handoutA man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 91-year-old woman in Rotherham.
Elizabeth "Betty" Clark died in hospital on 12 November, having been admitted on 11 September after she was found injured at a home in Peveril Close, Kiveton Park.
On Friday, South Yorkshire Police said officers had arrested a 47-year-old man, who had since been bailed pending further inquiries.
Det Insp Adam Watkinson said: "Betty was a well-loved family member, friend and neighbour, and our thoughts remain with her loved ones during this extremely difficult time."
He said Ms Clark's family were being supported by specialist officers and police had been "working hard" to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
Detectives are interested in speaking to anyone who may have information about the incident, in particular anyone who may have seen something suspicious around the Kiveton Park area on either 10 or 11 September.
