Oswestry's tractor run is held in memory of young farmer Will 'Choc' Roberts, who died of a brain tumour
The Oswestry Illuminated Tractor Run was raising money for the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund

Oswestry's Illuminated tractor run lit up the Shropshire town on Saturday, raising money for the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.

The fundraiser was organised by Farmer Dave Roberts in memory of his son Will 'Choc' Roberts, who died from a brain tumour three years ago, alongside rural youth organisation Whittington and Oswestry Young Farmers Club.

Tractors set off from Oswestry to travel through Baschurch, Ellesemere and St Martins.

Mr Roberts said: "It just brings it all back to you, the last few weeks we spent with him, and the difficult time he had."

He said it was a "tough" time, but added: "We're here and we're doing the best we can for his memory and for Lingen and the young farmers - because Will lived for the young farmers."

A fundraising page said all donations made a positive different to cancer patients, before, during and after their diagnosis.

It said donors would not only "light up the sky, but light up the lives of many people".
