Man appears in court charged with Glasgow murder
Police ScotlandA suspect has appeared in court accused of murdering a man in Glasgow earlier this month.
Joseph Dow, 38, is alleged to have killed David Smith, 49, in the city's Craigend area.
Smith was pronounced dead at a property on 17 March after concerns were raised about the occupant.
Dow made no plea at a private hearing in Glasgow Sheriff Court. He is charged with murder and an attempt to defeat the ends of justice.
Dow, who has no fixed abode, was remanded in custody and committed for further examination.
He will appear at court again within the next eight days.
