Watch: Spud Man's visit creates two-hour queues
Spud Man was welcomed to queues of people during his visit to Portsmouth jacket potato sellers on Wednesday and Thursday.
The social media star, real name Ben Newman, visited Jacket Potato Ladies to show his support after they posted on social media asking if people would still support them when a new franchise opens.
Spud Bros has announced it will open a store on Commercial Road at the end of the month.
We contacted Spud Bros but they did not respond to our request for a comment.
In a statement about the Portsmouth franchise, Spud Bros Express said it was built with local people at its heart, creating jobs, investing in communities and embedding itself wherever it operates.
