A complete road closure has been in place overnight at Southery, said Norfolk Police

A road has been closed in both directions following a serious collision, affecting a planned rail replacement service.

Firefighters rescued people from a vehicle on the A10, near Southery, Norfolk, at about 20:30 BST on Friday. Police said the road remained closed.

Rail operator Great Northern said this meant it could not run a full replacement service between Downham Market and Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Littleport would not be served until further notice and passengers were being urged to check timetables before departure, a spokesperson said.
