Woman, 66, taken to hospital after Peterhead fire

A 66-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after a fire in Peterhead.

The emergency services were called to the Aberdeenshire town's Forrest Place at about 21:00 on Sunday.

The fire took about an hour to fully extinguish. The woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing, but that there were not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
