Man charged after car allegedly driven at police
BBCA man has been charged with three counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent after a car was allegedly driven at police officers.
Officers said they tried to stop a vehicle in Paynes Road, Southampton, at about 00:30 GMT on Sunday.
Two police cars were damaged but no-one was injured, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary added.
David Shaun Clothier, 45, of no fixed address, is due to appear before Southampton magistrates on the attempted assault charges as well as three counts of criminal damage.
A 36-year-old woman from Ashford, Surrey, who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, has been released on bail while police inquiries continue.
