Doorbell footage appeal after attempted break-ins

Police have launched an investigation into the attempted burglaries

Police are appealing for CCTV or doorbell footage following a series of attempted burglaries in Swadlincote.

Officers said they believe a lone man or boy was trying the door handles of houses, garages and vehicles between 01:00 and 04:00 GMT on Friday.

An investigation has so far identified seven attempted break-ins in Old Railway Mews, Church Street, Hamilton Drive and Nursery Close.

People in the area have been asked to check their footage and get in touch if they find anything that appears similar.
